Scientific interests

  •  Along with teaching G. S. Vardanyan performed studies dedicated to biochemical mechanisms of violations in opioidergic neurotransmission process under diabetes mellitus conditions
  •  In 2012 the group under G. Vardanyan’s leadership won an ANSEF (Armenian National Science & Education Foundation) scientific grant entitled as “A new pain memory model”.
  •  At the moment G. Vardanyan’s scientific interests are concentrated on molecular-biochemical mechanisms of obesity. In 2018 the group under G. Vardanyan’s leadership won a ) scientific grant of MESCS RA Science Commity entitled as “Neurochemical mechanisms underlying brain reward system functioning in obesity”
  •  Under Gayane Vardanyan’s Scientific supervision two PhD theses were defended.
  •  Prof. Vardanyan has 117 published scientific papers and a methodical manual.
